New! Breastfeeding Q & A – “Ask Nurse Nancy”

Hi everyone! When I graduated with my degree in nursing nearly 30 years ago, I never dreamed that I would start a company that produces breastfeeding pillows! My passion has always been for maternal/child nursing and prenatal/breastfeeding education in particular, and this lead to my determination to design the ideal pillow to provide the optimal support for the breastfeeding mother and baby. After much consultation with nursing mothers, the Cozy Cuddles Nursing Pillow was “born” in 1994!

In my work with countless women over the years, I have been privileged to help to answer their questions. If you’re like most new mothers, you have tons of questions! That’s why I’m introducing this new feature of our Cozy Cuddles website – “Ask Nurse Nancy“! Believe me, no question is a silly question. Chances are, if you want to know, there’s a thousand other gals out there who are asking the same thing!

If you have a question, simply use the Contact Us form to the right, and I will provide the best answer I can in this space.

For starters, here is one of most often-asked questions:

Q: How do I know if I will be able to breastfeed my baby?

A: While pregnant women may doubt their ability to feed their babies, your body assumes that you will breastfeed and begins to prepare for it right from the day you conceive! The milk production tissues and ducts develop throughout your pregnancy, and it is estimated that 97% of women are physically capable of producing all the milk their baby will need. The key is ensuring that the baby latches well to the breast so that he/she can access the wonderful milk that you have!
